i always seem to follow all the nice people/ nice parts of the fandom
the bad parts of the fandom seem like some far off land that i only hear about through folklore and the tales of swarthy fishermen
FACTS ABOUT THINGS:
- TUMBLR WAS GETTING TOO EXPENSIVE. THEIR OPTIONS WERE TO EITHER SELL IT OR SHUT IT DOWN.
- YAHOO SAYS THEY’RE GOING TO LET IT RUN AS AN INDEPENDENT BUSINESS. IN THEORY, NOTHING WILL CHANGE EXCEPT FOR WHO’S LEGALLY OWNING IT.
- NOW EVERYONE CALM DOWN.
she was a girl
he was a boy
can i make it any more convoluted and unnecessarily complicated
R.I.P. Anne Boleyn (d. May 19 1536)
When the details of Anne’s life are viewed between the framework of these [her] social and cultural values, the modern conception of her as a femme fatale must be discarded. Establishing a valid explanation of her role at court that takes into consideration the beliefs and fears of the sixteenth-century Christendom and treats them with sensitivity is an useful undertaking, not only because historians owe it to the dead to depict them in a rational manner but also because the events of the Reformation will not be clearly understood until her crucial place in that revolution is sorted out. I’m always a little amused when Americans go on about their freedom. I imagine they think people in Europe generally walk around in chains.
If you don’t get this reference, you’re too young for tumblr.
are you fucking kidding me pixar puts out a movie ever year a baby would get this reference
it’s not pixar it’s a reference to that time in 1994 when lamps became sentient humanoids
many were lost that day
It was a grim day for mankind. My parents took refuge in a cave and thus saved us from certain death; we lived close to a lamp factory at the time and the surrounding region was utterly devastated in the conflict.
My brother fought one off using only an egg whisk and a pogo stick.
Only 90s kids remember the Lampocalypse
My father still has the scars from where one stole his kidney
Ironically, it was a dark time.
